Safety tips

Tour.com is an online dating platform that helps our members to initiate contact with each other. Please read the safety tips below carefully to enjoy your date safely.

Tips on your first date

  • Meet up in a public place and avoid meeting at late hours. Avoid going somewhere private(house or room) with your date and DO NOT meet, if your date insists on meeting in such places.
  • Always let your family or friends know where you are going and with whom you are meeting. Carry your mobile phone for emergency situation.
  • Don’t accept the invitation to carpool- take your own vehicle or use public transportation if possible
  • Stay Sober. Avoid drinking or taking drugs on your first date. One big mistake that people tend to make while meeting an online date is drinking without being mindful that their date might not have the best intentions.

Etiquette on your first date

  • Try not to make any changes on your scheduled first date. If you have to make changes due to inevitable situation, please explain to your date courteously by calling instead of texting.
  • Don't be too extravagant. Try to meet at a reasonably priced restaurant to lessen the burden on each other. Splitting a bill is a good way for a smooth first date.

Sexual Health & Consent

  • Protect Yourself
Please always use contraceptives. When used correctly and consistently, condoms can significantly reduce the risk of contracting and passing on STI’s like HIV.
  • Talk About It
Communication is everything : Before you get physically intimate with a partner, talk about sexual health and STI testing.
  • Know Your Status
Not all STIs show symptoms, and you don’t want to be in the dark about your status. Stay on top of your health and prevent the spread of STIs by getting tested regularly.
  • Consent
All sexual activity must start with consent and should include ongoing check-ins with your partner.
  • If you have a negative experience, please know that it is not your fault and help is available. Report any incidents to one of the resources below. If you feel you are in immediate danger or need emergency assistance, call 911 (U.S. or Canada) or your local law enforcement agency.
